AmeriCares India was a participating organization in the Global Healthcare Summit, held in New Delhi from January 2 -3, 2010. The Honorable Minister of Health, Delhi State Govt, Kiran Walia participated in this event.
The event was organized by the American Association of Physicians of Indian Origin. AAPI USA has organized two previous Indo-US Healthcare Summits in 2007 and 2009. The focus for these summits is to bring together some of the world’s most renowned experts to focus on priority disease states such as Allergy & Immunology, Cardiovascular, Diabetes, Infectious Disease (HIV/AIDS), Emergency Medicine, Mental Health and Maternal & Child Health.
This year’s summit had an even wider global perspective with participants joining from the UK and Canada in addition to those from the US and India. Participants are pre-selected by the respective Co-Chairs from US and India and each team develops specific proposals with focus on prevention, management and treatment to enhance effectiveness and delivery of care.
