Spirit of Humanity Awards 2013 Winners

"I have been working for the last 20 years in the field to fight malnutrition. Thank you AmeriCares India for giving us a platform to showcase and for encouraging our work. I'm really grateful, " said a humble Mr. Om Prakash Sharma from Gram Chetna Kendra, Rajasthan, winner in the Child Nutrition category supported by Abbott Nutrition. Mr. Sharma is one of the six winners in this year's Spirit of Humanity Awards.

The awards were initiated in 2010 to provide a platform for non-profit organizations such as Gram Chetna Kendra, which work tirelessly to better health and health care facilities within their communities and states, and across the nation as a whole. The goal of the awards is to bring different organizations under one roof to promote and encourage exchange of ideas, experiences and learning within a specific topic as well as over the functioning and practice of each organization.

Over the years the awards have gained support from many corporations, social organizations and individuals. Shri Suresh Shetty, Health Minister, Maharashtra, supports the awards and the overall work done by AmeriCares India. Shri Shetty was our Chief Guest for the Spirit of Humanity Awards 2013.
