AmeriCares Spirit of Humanity Awards

On Saturday, April 2, 2011, AmeriCares India will be hosting the Second Annual ‘Spirit of Humanity Awards’ in Mumbai. Awards will be given in various categories such as Women’s Health, Child Nutrition, etc. Individuals and organizations from all across India working in healthcare among the underprivileged are invited to apply.

As part of AmeriCares India's work with many dedicated partners, we established in 2010 the “Spirit of Humanity Awards” to recognize individuals and organizations doing exemplary work in healthcare among the disadvantaged in India.

In addition to honoring outstanding work in healthcare, the Awards event is an opportunity to showcase the best practices undertaken by these pioneers.  With less than 7% of NGOs in India working in the healthcare sector, it also raises awareness of various health care issues in India and encourages others to focus on healthcare challenges.

Individuals and organizations from all across India working in the healthcare space among the underprivileged sections of the country are invited to apply.
